Professional Cabinet Painting Services

They say the kitchen is the heart of the home, but who wants old outdated cabinets as an eye-sore that won’t go away? When it comes to a kitchen makeover, painting the cabinets is a quick and cost-effective way to achieve a fresh and updated look that can uplift your entire space.

Benefits of Cabinet Painting

Kitchen cabinets serve as the centrepiece of your kitchen and updating them is a great way to change the atmosphere of your entire space. But who wants to go through the lengthy and costly process of a kitchen remodel? Kitchen cabinet painting or refinishing is an exceptional alternative to update the look and feel of a kitchen without the hassle. The benefits of this process over a full remodel include:

  • Renewed Appearance: Painting kitchen cabinets gives them a new look, making them look new and refreshed.
  • Customization: The kitchen cabinets can be painted in any colour, allowing for your personality to shine through or match the existing decor.
  • Cost-effective: Painting the cabinets is more affordable than replacing them, saving you money on a kitchen renovation.
  • Quick Turnaround: Cabinet painting is a quick process that can be completed within a few days, meaning you can enjoy your new kitchen earlier. On top of that you get to keep the same layout as your existing cabinets.
  • Increased Home Value: If you are looking to sell your home, updating your kitchen can increase your home value. Painting the kitchen cabinets is a great way to update the kitchen without breaking the bank.

Overall, painting kitchen cabinets is a great way to give a kitchen a new refreshed look and feel, without having to spend a lot of money.

Our Process

There are 2 methods we use to paint cabinets. One option is spraying and the other is by brush and roller.

If you want that smooth factory finish then we recommend spraying your cabinets. Our process is simple. First we remove the doors, drawers, and hardware and bring them to our shop offsite. Then, the surfaces must be sanded down to ensure a smooth finish and any blemishes are filled in with wood filler. Once the cabinets are properly prepared, a stain-killing primer is applied to help the paint adhere to the surface. After the primer has dried, several coats of paint are sprayed onto the surfaces using an airless paint sprayer ensuring an even finish. Cabinet boxes are then brushed on site and the cabinets will be reinstalled.

The second option is the brush and roll method. It is typically the cheaper option of the two, but still gives great results. The process is mostly the same as spraying, but involves brushing and rolling the paint instead. This can be done either onsite or offsite depending on the circumstances. The finish may not be as flawless as spraying, but it still gives an excellent finish especially if you are on a budget.

Cost and Timelines

Typically, cabinet painting takes anywhere from 3-5 days from start to completion and can save you 80-90% of the cost of a complete replacement.  The cost on the other hand is more difficult to determine as many factors are involved, including the size and number of cabinets, what kind of finish you desire, how many days until completion, and the type of paint or stain being used. For an accurate answer it is best to book an in-person estimate for us to come check it out.
